London, UK (PRWeb UK / PRWEB) 4 November 2009 -– Masher, the online video mixing application, today announces a partnership with Netlog, the leading pan-European and Middle Eastern social network site. Masher enables users to create their own content by mixing together any multimedia content, including photos, video and music and then share these ‘mashes’ with friends.
With over 52 million users, Netlog will actively promote the Masher application, which will be deployed across its different language markets, initially in English, French, Italian, Turkish and Arabic, customised for each market.

Lorenz Bogaert, CEO of Netlog comments: “Masher allows Netlog users to quickly and easily create ‘mashes’ – mixes of photos, video, music and digital effects - and use them as features within their Netlog profile or to simply share with their Netlog friends. Games and applications are two of the key areas we’re using to enhance the Netlog service and Masher is a great fit.

John Armah, Commercial Director at Masher comments: “Masher users typically spend 6 minutes using the application per session, and as a result will provide Netlog with a significant user engagement tool. The combination of Netlog’s massive existing community of users and the fun of the Masher application make this a great partnership for both companies as well as for Netlog users. Masher is the only application of its kind, and provides Netlog with a way of differentiating itself from other social networking sites and monetizing its user base”

Access to the Netlog Masher will be free for one month then users will pay a subscription fee to gain access to the application and a set of exclusive content from key providers such as the BBC, Rip Curl, Audio Networks and more. Masher, a spin-out of BBC Worldwide, is currently undergoing its first funding round to cope with its significant growth only 10 months since launch.
