Pierre Nobs and Zeon Limited Set to Relaunch Ventura Timepieces for 2010
Zeon Limited, the UK's largest watch company acquires Swiss watchmaker Ventura.
London, UK (PRWeb UK / PRWEB) 6 November 2009 -- Zeon Limited, which celebrates its 30th anniversary today, has announced the acquisition of a majority shareholding in Swiss watchmaker Ventura, a technical innovator in the digital watch market. The partnership will see the rebirth of Ventura timepieces for Spring 2010.
The Ventura watch company will be led under the direction of Mr Pierre Nobs, who founded the original company in 1990. Mr Nobs was responsible for introducing a totally new generation of Swiss-made luxury digital watches to the world market including iconic inventions such as the SPARC fx and the V-Tec Sigma.
Zeon Limited is the largest manufacturer and distributor of watches and clocks in the UK, with over 19 brands to its portfolio, comprising Ingersoll in the prestige segment, and watch collections from Braun, Superdry and Bench. The strategic acquisition of Ventura reflects Zeon's significant position in the growing watch sector, as the company enters a new phase of international growth.
