I want to thank everyone who took part for their support. Their generosity has been amazing!

Solihull (PRWEB UK) 10 November 2012

Building on their impressive fundraising over the last 2 years for children’s charities across the UK, Rhythm Time (the successful music franchise group for the under-fives) has raised further valuable funds for a variety of causes during 2012.

So far this year, the children’s music group, with the support of families attending its toddler, pre-school and baby classes, has raised in excess of £3300. This figure is still rising from ongoing fundraising activities, and with Children in Need later this month, this total is set to increase even further.

Francis Donkin, who runs a large and highly successful franchise in Cheshire, held pyjama parties at their educational music classes in October and raised a massive £1400 for the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital. “I want to thank all our children, parents, grandparents, carers as well as my own staff who took part in these events. Their generosity and support has been amazing - it has also been our pleasure to work with the Royal Manchester Children's Hospital and support the incredible work they do,” says Frances. Rhythm Time children were particularly delighted when Humphrey (the RMCH mascot bear) visited and joined in with their music classes.

Michelle O’Grady (franchisee for Sutton Coldfield), Gillian Holmes (franchisee for South Glasgow) and Jane Leavy (franchisee for Warrington) raised a total of over £900 for the Children’s Trust during their Rhythm Time music classes last month. Children and parents enjoyed coming to classes also dressed in their pyjamas.

Lynne O’Malley, who runs Rhythm Time classes in Yorkshire, supported the charity Bliss that cares for sick and premature babies. Children and parents from her classes generously raised £149 by holding a raffle for the charity.

Promise Dreams, a West Midlands based children's charity dedicated to fulfilling the dreams of seriously ill and terminally ill children and their families, benefited from £705 raised by Heather Hemsley (franchisee for Stourbridge and Wolverhampton) and her staff when they took part in a sponsored walk.

Claire Warne, who runs Rhythm Time classes in the Isle of Wight, regularly participates in the Island’s annual Go Yellow Day in which residents dress up in yellow for various events to raise money for the local hospice. This year, Claire’s classes raised over £213 to help the charity.

Kathy Doolan, owner and founder of Rhythm Time, is delighted that so many of the company’s franchisees are so committed to help such a variety of children’s charities. “I’m so proud of the support all our franchisees and their staff have given to these worthy causes and, of course, we couldn’t have achieved what we have if it wasn’t for the amazing generosity of the parents and carers,” she adds.

Rhythm Time was established 17 years ago by Kathy, who is a firm believer in the power and importance of music for babies, toddlers and pre-school children.

Kathy, graduate of the Royal Scottish Academy of Music & Drama, created a set of unique music courses especially written for different age groups: babies, toddlers and pre-schoolers. Children progress through the different age appropriate classes making a seamless transition at their key developmental stages.

“Music is fundamental to a child’s development” says Kathy “and we feel very privileged to be able to raise valuable funds for children’s charities through our toddler, pre-school and baby classes.”

Rhythm Time is a family-owned business and continues to grow from strength to strength.
