Having been in discussions with global services company Experian, the UK's largest independently owned van insurance broker, Autonet Insurance, is in the closing stages of finalising a deal to introduce a brand new piece of software known as the ‘Delphi Risk Score’. This will enable the Staffordshire broker to implement state of the art technology, aiding the premium price and instalment payment plan for their customers.
The companies first met in July this year to discuss a practical solution to help the insurance broker with the final stage in the insurance process for their customers. The ‘Delphi Risk Score’ will provide information on credit checks that will allow Autonet Insurance to offer the most competitive insurance premiums to those who have a healthy credit rating, as well as securing payment from the correct customer accounts and strengthen systems in the fight against fraud.
Currently, Autonet Insurance has a department dedicated to auditing insurance quotations before payment is taken. The new business verification team will clarify all information on customer accounts and already have systems in place to verify client identification and claims history. This process has always been in place, not only protecting the customer, but also the broker, before any policies are booked on and payment is taken.
Experian are specialists in helping organisations to manage credit risks and have an impressive client base which includes Tesco, eBay, Ford, Sky and Royal Mail to name but a few. With over 25 years’ experience in the industry, Experian are able to offer a greater selection of quality data to its clients coupled with up-to-date latest legislative, regulatory and compliance requirements.
The new business venture, which is due to be implemented in December, is the first of its kind within the insurance broking industry. Software house, Cheshire Datasystems Ltd (CDL), are the main provider of insurance solutions for the Staffordshire broker and has been testing the software to make sure the integration of Experian’s technology will run smoothly without any hitches, ready for the launch at the end of the year.
Managing Director of Autonet Insurance, Ian Donaldson commented: “We are always looking at ways to improve our services for our customers. This has been a very busy year, and as always, we intend to hit the ground running in 2013. The introduction of the new ‘Delphi Risk Score’ will strengthen our security measures even further against fraud, and ultimately allow us to offer the very best deals we can to future customers.
Autonet Insurance is extremely excited to be the only insurance broker in the UK using such technology in what we feel is a unique environment and style and I don’t have any doubts that this will be a huge success for all concerned.”
