Wolverhampton: New research from Duport.co.uk reveals a very successful third quarter for Wolverhampton, with 384 companies formed between July and September - more than any other quarter on record for the city.
Not only did it break a record for company formation, there was also a record level of net company growth. During the third quarter, the company register increased by 163, which is more than any other Q3 in the history of the city.
The third quarter also saw the city’s UK company share rise slightly, suggesting that ongoing regeneration projects in Wolverhampton are having a positive impact on the local economy. The city has seen many improvements in recent years, including a multi-million pound extension to the art gallery and the re-opening of Bilston Town Hall. More projects are in the pipeline, including a new retail and leisure development, known as “Southside”.
Managing Director of Duport.co.uk, Peter Valaitis said:
“The statistics in our latest report show that Wolverhampton is a city on the up.”
“The record level of company formation is a really positive sign for the area. The arrival of new businesses will strengthen the economy, leading to greater prosperity in years to come.”
