London (PRWEB UK) 1 March 2012

Top water cooler supplier Angel Springs will donate 200 bottles of sports cap water for a 25-mile charity hike across Shropshire and Staffordshire.

The ramble – due to take place on Saturday 17th March – will see residents of Eccleshall village donning their toughest walking boots in aid of Ronald McDonald House Charities.

Angel Springs’ contribution to the walk will ensure that participants stay hydrated over the course of their long journey – enjoying great-tasting, bottled spring water from Angel Springs’ local sources.

The donation is being offered as part of the water cooler company’s Angels in the Community initiative, which supports local charities and fund-raising events with donations.

All proceeds from the walk will be donated to Ronald McDonald House Birmingham, where Eccleshall schoolboy Harry Wynn stayed whilst undergoing treatment for cancer at Birmingham Children’s Hospital.

Harry’s plight has encouraged Eccleshall residents to club together in aid of the charity. Local fundraisers have already contributed more than £7000, and now aim to raise even more with this latest initiative.

Angel Springs is the UK’s longest established and leading supplier of both bottled and mains-fed water coolers.

Angel Springs’ commercial director, John Murphy, said: “We were touched by Harry’s story, and inspired by the efforts of the Eccleshall villagers to raise funds for this charitable cause.

“Our Angels in the Community programme has already helped many local charities, and we felt that the passion and commitment that the people of Eccleshall have shown – as well as the inspirational work that the Ronald McDonald Charities carry out – meant that we had to lend our support.

“We wish all walkers the best of luck on the big day, and we hope to help out again in the near future.”
