The recent merger between Zoopla and Digital Property Group, announced in October and finalised in June, means that the 2nd, 3rd and 4th largest property portals in the UK are now operated by one business, named Zoopla Property Group.
Up until now the distribution of Scottish content on Zoopla was handled by Lettingweb as an exclusive deal for members; whilst distribution of Scottish content on DPG’s sites Primelocation and Findaproperty was handled elsewhere. That meant letting agents in Edinburgh, Glasgow and across Scotland had to use multiple portals to get full distribution.
But the new exclusive partnership between Lettingweb and Zoopla Property Group secures that distribution for Lettingweb members as of 1st October 2012. It also means greater brand exposure for Lettingweb members, who will now get full branding on ZPG listings.
ZPG have had a busy few months since merging in June, launching a new marketing campaign with primetime T.V adverts across the UK, a sponsorship deal with Premiership football team West Bromwich Albion, and a new print campaign for Primelocation in their biggest marketing campaign to date.
They also bring an unrivalled network of partnerships to the table, with leading national and local websites including Scotsman Property, Dailymail.co.uk, Standard.co.uk, Telegraph.co.uk and 26 local thisis.co.uk websites.
Steve Tigar, Lettingweb’s Managing Director, had this to say about the deal:
‘In a tough time for Scottish letting agents, we are delighted to have secured this partnership as we believe that it presents the best possible deal for our members. It was made possible by the strength of our agent base, and to deliver such a leap in exposure and enquiries means an exciting time for us at Lettingweb.
Our previous partnership with Zoopla proved to be a big win for everyone involved, and the chance to bring our agents this exclusive deal will extend that into the future.’
