It's been a great year for More T Vicar. It's a friendly operation run by true t shirt crazies who hold customer service and a great design matched with attention to detail in the the production of t shirts above everything else. Every tee goes out of the door with a little wish that the customer truly loves it when they tear open the packaging.
It's tricky for an online store to compensate for the lack of physical interaction with customers and More T Vicar tries to fill that gap by recommending products that people might like and by holding up their (usually discounted) 'tee of the day' to the army of customers who have signed up to their newsletter. The company Facebook page is a good mix of discount information and happy banter with customers and t shirt obsessives alike. Sometimes the minute details of zombie films or what to do with dearly loved but ultimately defunct t shirts are discussed. Off topic sometimes, but fun nonetheless.
Having taken a close look at the More T Vicar top ten, there's definitely a trend for the provocative and as always sci fi and Star Wars fans have gone bonkers over Chunk T Shirts. The Muppets have been a surprise, but vintage TV t shirts done well can have a profound effect on the nostalgic. It's good to see Jakes Of Soho t shirts in the mix. They are a great brand worn by the likes of David Beckham, Simon Peg and Russell Howard and started life with a very personal and loving message.
Divine Trash t shirts generally engage with bricolage - being adorned with semi naked ladies interacting with a range of common objects; a cup of tee, a toilet, a newspaper and in one particularly cool composition, a black kitten.
