The Facebook page along with the Mario Balotelli player profile on football.co.uk provide the only online location of the official PFA biography, lifetime stats, news and high resolution gallery.
Mario Balotelli is an exciting young striker who signed for Manchester City in August 2010. A technically skilful player, with great pace and an eye for goal, he can play anywhere across the front line. The Italian is struggling for goals this season with just one coming in the league so far, however under the guidance of Manchester City manager Roberto Mancini, Mario will soon flourish in the Premier League.
In December 2012, Balotelli decided to fight against Manchester City's decision to fine him two weeks' wages for his poor disciplinary record the previous season by taking his club to a Premier League tribunal. Balotelli missed 11 games domestically and in Europe last season because of suspensions.
With less than a day remaining to the start of the hearing, Balotelli dropped his tribunal action and accepted the fine. His fiery temper has seen Mario become a big hit with Premier League fans, through his short time in England.
Head of Operations at DSG, Matthew Tait had this to say, “Mario Balotelli really has no shortage of fans after his performances for Manchester City and Italy in recent times, and we can see that by the success of his PFA Facebook page.”
“All of us here at Digital Sports Group are proud we've had the opportunity to work with The PFA to give the fans a fantastic and unique fan resource for Mario Balotelli .”
DSG became the official digital partner of the Professional Footballers Association (PFA) earlier this year and have since launched a number of Player Profile fan pages on social media site Facebook as well as providing official player pages on their football news site football.co.uk.
