A report by digital marketing technology company, Kenshoo, has demonstrated that the festive period in particular saw an expensive time for PPC marketers, with average CPCs reaching approximately £0.53, a 30% increase in comparison to the same timescale in 2011. The same report also indicated that paid search impressions increased by 18% during December, suggesting that people are using search engines more frequently. Despite this, it appears that shoppers clicked on 2% less ads.
