Can women change the world? Pinsent Masons and The Aspire Foundation suggest yes.

Pinsent Masons, the international law firm has joined together with The Aspire Foundation for International Women’s Day, 2013 for an inspirational event to positively impact the lives of over 1 million women and girls around the world.

According to The Aspire Women in Leadership 2012 Report, “A New Generation of Women Leaders" based on a survey completed by more than 1800 global female leaders. "87% of business women believe it is important or very important that their corporation in some way gives back to the community and the wider world.”.

Yet many women believe they do not have the time, resources or skills to really achieve this goal of giving back and instead get stuck in the day to day minutia and ‘to do list’ of life and work.

Sheer Workload is the number 1 challenge right now.

Women state their top work based challenges are 1) Sheer workload, 2) What to do next in career and 3) Balancing work and home. These factors are often in conflict and hinder women’s ability to be visionary in their roles and lives and for the wider world.

This is a critical issue for business and society as more women in senior positions makes business, economic and global sense.

Taking the time out to vision, strategise and gain new ideas for how to approach your own career, your organisation's direction and how the world needs to change is critical to women’s success this year.

Pinsent Masons and The Aspire Foundation celebrate International Women’s Day on the evening of March 7th, 2013 by creating an event with a difference where over 100 women will create vision boards for their life, work and world.
