(PRWEB UK) 1 March 2013
On March 5, Localgiving.com, the UK’s primary website for small, local charities and community groups, launches Spring for a Year in select areas of England. The move follows a series of successful Match Funds in 2012 which raised more than £3 million for local groups on the website.
The goal of Spring for a Year is to encourage donors to set up monthly donations via Localgiving.com so that local can count on secure funding throughout the year. Localgiving.com will match up to £10 a month for 12 months turning £10 a month into £240* in 12 months. And if Gift Aid is claimed, a further £30 can be added to the donation.
Spring for a Year launches at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, March 5, running until midday on Friday, May 3, or until all the funds have been allocated. It is available to all local charities and groups registered with Localgiving.com in Berkshire, Birmingham, Cambridgeshire, Country Durham, Liverpool, Northamptonshire, Nottinghamshire, Staffordshire, Sussex and Warwickshire
On Localgiving.com, even the smallest community organisation can claim Gift Aid thanks to a validation process which meets the Charity Commission’s standards. With more than 3,000 validated charities already registered online, Localgiving.com provides support to small, grass roots aid organisations across the country.
