Leeds, Yorkshire (PRWEB UK) 4 March 2013

Chris Hopkins, managing director of Yorkshire based company Ploughcroft, releases his long awaited book, Dragons for Breakfast, yesterday (March 1).

The autobiography gives a fascinating account of Chris’s life and goes a long way to explaining what makes him tick and why he is driven to a never-ending quest to be the best in all he tackles and how innovation and his gut-instinct helped him to become a major player in the construction industry.

Chris, 43, said: “Dragons for Breakfast is a very personal account of my childhood in Halifax, how I overcame schoolyard bullies by turning to body building, my battle with dyslexia and stammering and how I went on to develop a host of businesses within the Ploughcroft group. It is part one of my story, I’m already writing the sequel!

“I also give a lot of tips in the book to budding entrepreneurs along with advice on how to avoid some of the pitfalls along their way to success.”

From the start of the book Chris is brutally honest that he doesn’t suffer fools gladly nor does he have time for bullies, time-wasters and jobsworths.

Chris is a keen supporter of the Forget Me Not Trust, which runs a children’s hospice in Huddersfield, and he will be donating all profits from the sale of the book to the charity.

Ploughcroft is based in Brighouse, West Yorkshire, and serves customers across Yorkshire, Greater Manchester and Lancashire. Their team has over 20 years’ building and roofing experience and is committed to ‘green’ and environmental issues – as well as becoming a Green Deal assessor Chris Hopkins was chosen by the Government to represent all UK SME businesses on the Green Construction Board.

He will join the Green Construction Board at their Stand at the Eco Build Expo in London from March 5-7 next week.
