GO Outdoors, one of the largest outdoor goods retailers in the UK, is opening a new store in Kidderminster on 25th May.

It is expected to receive a warm reception from adventurous types living in and around the area when it opens on Saturday, June 1. Previously, they would have had to trek to Wolverhampton or beyond Birmingham to find their nearest GO Outdoors store.

Located on Frederick Road to the south of Kidderminster, the store is perfectly located for those who want to make the short trip into Wales for an adventure-filled weekend.

There will be a large, purpose-built synthetic field in the store where more than 40 tents will be pitched, so customers can see how they'll look when properly erected, this will also be a chance to take a look at our 2013 bikes at GoOutdoors. The new store will also be an accredited Calor gas stockist and offer a special bicycle servicing facility for the Wyre Forest area’s mountain biking enthusiasts. There will also be a number of hybrid bikes at GoOutdoors on display.

Trying out the vast range of walking footwear on offer can be done on authentic artificial walking surfaces designed to simulate lots of different underfoot conditions.

Gavin Garth said: “Worcestershire and the Wyre Forest is an important area for GO Outdoors and we are very excited to open a new store in Kidderminster.

“It is a great place for a whole range of outdoor activities – especially camping and hiking. There are also some great places to cycle in and around the area. Our new GO Outdoors store will have everything someone wanting to take advantage of this great area will need, including GoOutdoors mountain bikes.

“We've got plenty of attractions for people to see, and have provided all the facilities we know our customers will appreciate, such as cycle servicing, wheelchair access throughout the ground floor, changing rooms, baby changing facilities, toilets and a boot fitting area. We're looking forward to Kidderminster becoming a key store in our UK portfolio.”

There will be allocated free parking right outside the store. For more information, visit gooutdoors.co.uk/kidderminster.
