Hidden Hearing Respond to Liam Gallagher Diagnosed with Tinnitus
(PRWEB UK) 3 July 2013 -- Following his twenty year music career, it has been revealed that Liam Gallagher has been diagnosed with tinnitus, shortly after it was revealed that his brother Noel suffers with the same condition - reports the Daily Mail in 'Without a doubt I have tinnitus': Liam Gallagher reveals he has been suffering with ringing in the ears' on June 13.
Liam has suffered from a constant ringing in his ears for years, and says that he learned to live with the condition a long time ago, talking loudly over the noise.
Tinnitus is a constant buzzing, whistling or ringing in the ears and can be extremely frustrating for sufferers. Tinnitus sufferers often have trouble sleeping and relaxing because of the condition. There are various causes of the condition from hearing loss to medication and ear infections.
The best way to prevent tinnitus is to take care of hearing, especially noise damage. Many musicians have developed tinnitus because of exposure to loud noise. According to an article in the Standard, Coldplay’s Chris Martin, The Who’s Pete Townsend and Morrissey are just some of the famous names with the condition. Preventative measures such as wearing ear plugs or noise defenders can help prevent exposure to dangerous levels of noise.
A spokesperson from Hidden Hearing said:
“Tinnitus affects around 10% of the UK population and can be a frustrating condition to live with. There is no cure for tinnitus, but there are ways of dealing with it such as avoiding silence, staying calm and relaxed as well as avoiding alcohol and caffeine. Of course, the best thing you can do is avoiding hearing damage as much as you can by using ear protection, staying hydrated and taking breaks from loud music every hour.”
