Marketing expert leaves the corporate world to set up own venture
Newcastle upon Tyne, Tyne and Wear (PRWEB UK) 29 July 2013 -- Nusheen Hussain, former Head of Marketing, delivering the BBC’s Digital Switchover Help Scheme, for Carillion Energy Services, has just launched Juzba – an online ethnic bridal and occasion wear jewellery range http://www.juzbaindianjewellery.co.uk.
Juzba has a unique collection of traditional and contemporary Indian jewellery sourced from across the Indian subcontinent. The website has been beautifully presented in line with the ornate and intricately hand crafted jewellery collection. The jewellery range is not merely necklace and earrings but also traditional Indian hair jewellery (matha patti, tikka, jhoomer), hand and arm jewellery and anklets (payal), which are all the rage in mainstream high street shops like Topshop and leading online women’s fashion retailers like ASOS.
With the Asian/Indian wedding market booming, despite the hostile economic climate, and the average spend on an Asian/Indian wedding being more than double that of a white wedding, the market conditions are rife for this type of business.
Nusheen’s marketing experience ranges over 16 years, across multiple industry sectors, including a leading financial publishing house in London, a London based European conference company, Newcastle Building Society and most recently with Carillion Energy Services, delivering the marketing program for the BBC’s Digital Switchover Help Scheme.
Commenting on her new venture Nusheen, mother of three, said, “The idea came from my sisters’ wedding last year when we couldn’t find bridal jewellery to match her wedding outfit. Leaving a senior level job with a good, regular income was a big decision, but the idea was bubbling away in my head and with my vast knowledge and experience in marketing and love for Indian jewellery and fashion, it seemed like the right thing to do and the right time to do it. I’ve always had entrepreneurial spirit so I took the chance. I hope my story will inspire more Asian women to set up their own business.”
Since its launch just a week ago, Juzba has seen a steady flow of orders and almost 500 twitter followers already.
In response to growing Asian/Indian wedding sector and the mainstream trend for ethnic jewellery, Nusheen hopes to make her mark in the business world with http://www.juzbaindianjewellery.co.uk.
