Locksmith Firm Evander Allocates £6,000 to Neighbourhood Watch Fund
(PRWEB UK) 2 September 2013 -- Locksmith and glazing firm Evander has allocated money for Neighbourhood Watch groups based in England’s three largest cities.
The company’s Crime Innovation Fund will see a total of £6,000 made available to groups based in London, Birmingham and Manchester – with £2,000 set aside for each city.
The initiative is part of Evander’s on-going commitment towards tackling crime and anti-social behaviour across the UK.
Local Neighbourhood Watch groups can apply for funding by contacting Evander directly.
Evander security expert, Mark Taylor, said: “With planned reductions in police spending set to continue, the work of Neighbourhood Watch Groups has become increasingly important to local communities across the country.
“That’s why we’ve created the Crime Innovation Fund, and invested our own money in helping these groups tackle crime on a local scale.
“We’re big supporters of Neighbourhood watch, and its hardworking volunteers are already doing an impressive job in with crime in their local areas.
“We hope, with this additional funding, we can enable them to continue their good work and have a greater impact on crime in the future.”
Funding from the Crime innovation Fund will be awarded based on the individual requirements of each Neighbourhood Watch group.
