Hypnotist Dan Jones Writes His First Novel ‘The Hypnotic Assassin’ In Just Two Weeks Whilst in a Hypnotic Trance
Chichester, West Sussex (PRWEB UK) 6 January 2014 -- The Hypnotic Assassin by Dan Jones (http://www.lulu.com/shop/daniel-jones/the-hypnotic-assassin/paperback/product-21340599.html, also available on Amazon Kindle now, and bookshops from 20th January 2014) was written in just two weeks as part of ‘National Novel Writing Month’.
To write a novel so quickly Dan Jones decided to write the novel in a hypnotic trance. During the two weeks Jones wrote ‘The Hypnotic Assassin’ he used self-hypnosis to enter a trance, allowing the story to flow through him and onto the computer screen without his conscious mind interfering in the process.
Author Dan Jones commented, “I created the character, but I didn’t create the story. I discovered the story as it unfolded on the computer screen in front of me. I was excited to learn what was going to happen next.”
Dan Jones wanted to write a story that demonstrated many of the fascinating aspects of hypnosis, both what can be achieved by a talented hypnotist, and also what can be achieved by a ‘hypnotic virtuoso’. A hypnotic virtuoso is someone that is highly hypnotisable and hypnotically very capable. All of the techniques and phenomena described throughout this novel are accurate and have been used extensively by the author for positive therapeutic purposes.
The Hypnotic Assassin is written as an extract from the journal of Sam Carter. Sam lives a quiet life four hours from the great City of London in a small boxy flat. Being a Hypnotic Assassin this is all he needs. Everyday when Sam isn't on a mission he walks the one mile journey into his local town to sit at the same seat in the Marlborough Café for 90 minutes, reading minds and drinking tea, where one day he picks up a mission to assassinate Michael Rawlins, CEO of SiLo, a Nuclear Fusion research company who is planning on selling a nuclear weapon and advanced nuclear technology to someone in Europe. This starts out to be a straight forward and simple mission. But Sam’s life ends up on the line, with Sam needing to use all his hypnotic skills just to survive.
