Iran Oil & Gas 2014 Summit in Dubai to discuss Iran’s substantial oil reserves
London, UK (PRWEB UK) 23 April 2014 -- Iranian Oil Minister Bijan Zanganeh recently argued that Iran’s oil production could escalate despite the sanctions in force. Additionally, a few months ago, Tehran announced that further increased oil extraction is to occur should sanctions be eased. Iran’s role as an important oil producer in the OPEC as well as worldwide is indeed very relevant: the Islamic Republic of Iran holds more than 12 percent of OPEC’s oil reserves, thereby standing behind Venezuela and Saudi Arabia; and circa 9 percent of the world’s total proven oil reserves.
