Reader Prize Giveaways - WIN an AlcoSense ONE Personal Breathalyser
(PRWEB UK) 17 December 2014 -- In order to raise awareness of the changes to the Scottish drink drive limit the motoring solicitors firm are giving away 10 of the AlcoSense One Pocket Breathalysers. With these you can easily check your Blood Alcohol Content (BAC) the morning after to see if you are within the legal drink drive limit.
Scotland’s new drink drive limit of 50 milligrams per 1 litre of blood came into force on 6 December 2014 and is more stringent than the 80 milligram limit in the rest of the UK. With many people travelling over the festive period and, especially at New Year enjoying a drink the motoring solicitors firm wants them to stay within their limits. Managing partner and chairman of the Society of Motoring Solicitors, Martin Hammond said, ‘with Scottish law changing there is now two drink drive limits in the UK. We hope people enjoy the festive period within their limits and that these breathalysers help them to understand what that is.’ He has managed a specialist motoring solicitors firm with partner Philip Trotter from offices in London and Manchester for 7 years and is an expert in the field.
The AlcoSense One pocket breathalyser is a lightweight, portable alcohol breathalyser device that shows intoxication levels in % BAC in increments of 0.01. The BAC drink drive level for Scotland is 0.05% and 0.08% for the rest of the UK. The devices show up to 0.12% BAC which is 1.5 the UK drink drive limit, so should alert anyone considering driving after having a drink. They do have a +/- 0.02% level of accuracy and should only be taken as a guide, and as Martin says, 'of course the best way to avoid committing a drink drive offence is not to drink and drive.’
