The Kazakhstan Oil and Gas Summit 2015 gives industry experts up-to-date project reports.
(PRWEB UK) 27 January 2015 -- London 27/01/2015
In a recent report published this month by U.S. Energy Information Industry, Kazakhstan was identified as having vast hydrocarbon resources. In 2014 it was estimated that Kazakhstan produced 1.7 million barrels per day. With further delays reported over the past 18 months for the Kashagan project, the key to the future of Kazakhstan's energy sector will be the development of its giant Tengiz, Krachaganak and Kashagan fields.
Historically, Kazakhstan had difficulty reaching European markets due to the country's geographical location. However, Its position lends favourably to trade links with Eastern markets, from Kazakhstan to China. In fact, oil exports to China began back in 2006 with the Kazakhstan-China pipeline. Nethertheless, over the past five years the country has been looking at developing other routes to access European markets, via the Southern Gas Corridor as well as various other projects.
In 2014 Kazakhstan underwent a giant reshuffle of its ministerial branches by creating a “super” energy ministry, so as to improve efficiency and encourage investment in its extractive industries.
On 23rd & 24th of February 2015, Oliver Kinross will host the Kazakhstan Oil & Gas Summit. This event is the perfect platform to discover the latest developments and opportunities in Kazakhstan's oil & gas industry, featuring a two day programme with presentations on both the upstream and downstream sectors.
