Bath One of World’s Safest Cities
Bath, Somerset (PRWEB UK) 7 April 2015 -- Bath has been named one of the safest cities in the world, according to a survey by Post Office Travel Insurance. Narrowly beaten by York for the top spot, around seven in 10 of those surveyed said they thought Bath was safe, and none of the respondents who had spent time in the city reported that they had ever encountered any problems while there. The full report conducted by Post Office Travel Insurance can be read here.
A recent report by the Sunday Times also revealed Bath as one of the top 50 urban locations to live in the UK, and it came out on top as the best place for retirees to live. And it’s not just great for those making the most of their golden years – the University of Bath is ranked in the top 10 in all UK league tables, and it is currently top for student satisfaction in the National Student Survey, beating more than 130 other UK higher educational institutions.
Already known to many as the most beautiful city in the UK, these are worthy accolades to add to Bath’s name. But what is it about Bath that makes it such a world-class city?
