Solihull Osteopathic Practice Sponsor Local Squash Academy
Solihull, West Midlands (PRWEB UK) 18 May 2015 -- Solihull Osteopathic Practice are helping talented squash players to reach the peak of their game by sponsoring a local academy. The Rob Owen Academy, set up by Rob Owen, an ex-professional once ranked number 19 in the world, helps aspiring professionals and established world players to improve their skills and fitness levels.
In addition to providing much needed sponsorship to the academy, Solihull Osteopathic Practice are also offering regular osteopathic treatments for players as part of their training programme. The holistic approach of Osteopathy is ideal for treating sporting injuries and in particular, Jeremy James and his team of osteopaths at Solihull Osteopathic Practice have been able to treat the shoulder and elbow pain together with lower limb injuries that are common in squash players.
The treatments seem to be doing the trick as the academy is celebrating the successes of George Parker, who recently became European Junior Champion and Nathan Lake who won his first PSA tournament in South Africa earlier this month.
Delighted to be supporting the local academy, who are based at the West Warwick sports club, Jeremy James said: “This has been an exciting venture for our osteopathic practice and it gives us all a real boost to know we are doing our bit to support the sporting stars of the future.”
Keen to thank their sponsors, Rob Owen added: “All the players are very grateful to the sponsorship of the Solihull osteopathic practice and a regular session at the practice has become an integral part of their training programme. We would all highly recommend and endorse the work they have done with us and without doubt it has made a huge difference to our balance, mobility and general fitness on the court.”
Solihull Osteopathic Practice are based on Warwick Road, Solihull and offer osteopathic treatments to patients of all ages. Their team of osteopaths are registered with the General Osteopathic Council and can help those suffering from sports injuries, general aches and pains and problems with posture.
