London Build 2015 is lining up to show a vision of London’s future
London, UK (PRWEB UK) 29 May 2015 -- With just three weeks to go until London Build 2015, the leading construction expo for London and the South of England is lining up to provide a vision of London’s future, thanks to collaborations with Crossrail, Thames Tideway Tunnel and the London Chamber of Commerce and Industry (LCCI).
On June 18th & 19th, leading political and construction industry figures will convene at the O2, London for the London Build 2015. The event brings together industry figure heads from Balfour Beatty, TfL, Lend Lease, Crossrail, KPMG, Thames Tideway Tunnel and many more.
London Build is attended by the Greater London Authority, The London Legacy Development Corporation, the LCCI, and approximately 10,000 attendees from London's construction industry.
This event celebrates the London Construction sector, focusing on the success of the last 18 months and the fantastic improvements that will be making an appearance in years to come.
The involvement of Crossrail and Thames Tideway Tunnel has been well known for several months now, with Simon Wright (Crossrail) and Peter Shipley (Thames Tideway Tunnel) both speaking at the free-to-attend conference. The importance of these projects, both of which can be found represented in the exhibition hall, cannot be understated, providing vital improvements to the infrastructure of the capital.
In recent weeks the strength of the strategic partnership between the event and the LCCI has become apparent. On day one of the conference, the LCCI have worked with Oliver Kinross, the event organiser, to bring together leading figures to discuss the issue of skills shortages in the industry. The panel is titled “Bridging the Skills Gap in London and the South East”, and features panelists Richard Threlfall (KPMG), Debbie Akehurst (Land Securities), Kevin McLoughlin MBE, (K&M McLoughlin Decorating) and is moderated by Jeffrey Adams of United House Developments.
The Chief Executive of the LCCI, Colin Stanbridge is set to moderate a panel discussion on day two of the conference on the topic of “Regeneration London”. The panelists lined up so far include Paolo Nistri (London Legacy Development Corporation), Stephen Howlett (Peabody), Jeremy Skinner (Greater London Authority) and Phil Stride (Head of Thames Tideway Tunnel), which will no doubt lead to an enthralling and enlightening discussion over the present and future redevelopment of the city.
General admission to the exhibition, conference and CPD-accredited training workshops is complimentary for both days of this illustrious industry event. To register for a pass, please visit http://www.londonbuildexpo.com.
