Shock at UK onshore wind farm subsidy withdrawal
Chelmsford, Essex (PRWEB UK) 21 June 2015 -- The Department of Energy and Climate Change announced yesterday that new onshore wind farms will be excluded from a subsidy scheme from 1 April 2016 – a year earlier than expected.

Energy firms were expecting the generous subsidy to end in 2017. The funding for the subsidy currently comes from the Renewables Obligation, which is funded by levies added to household fuel bills.
The news is literally a blow to the developers with almost 3,000 wind turbines awaiting planning permission (according to the public database of the Department of Energy and Climate Change). For a number of years wind farms have polarised communities with many residents seeing them as a ‘blot on the landscape’. However, to developers they provide a profitable source of income as well as benefitting the local economy by creating local jobs.
Chelmsford based, award-winning, renewable energy company Right 2 Improve has expert knowledge of renewable energy (including onshore wind farms as well as thermodynamics). “We believe it’s time for other options to be treated as a credible alternatives to solve the increasing issue with energy resources”, said Phil Hildrup, Sales Director. “For example, our products include the Central Heating Management System as well as the Solar Assisted Heat Pump (which uses thermodynamics) as well as the Little Magic Thermodynamic Box (which recently passed government UKAS tests). We’ve installed ten PV panels at our head office in Chelmsford and we also have one thermodynamic system in situ. We recently installed the Central Heating Management system in Braintree which resulted in a saving of 27.0% on gas energy bills as the boiler was turned down from 65°C to 60°C (comparison of previous gas energy bills from August 2012 to August 2013 compared to August 2013 to July 2014).
Eric Mace is a Registered Engineering Technician and noted “The company has taken a principle well established and successful in the commercial heating world, modified it with great investment and applied it innovatively in the domestic heating world with excellent energy saving results tested and verified by UKAS.”
The Central Heating Management System is manufactured in Britain by the Magic Thermodynamic Box company (which has been featured on CNBC). The website http://www.magicthermodynamicbox.com shows a video case study of a 7 bedroom Victorian house with 60 radiators into which various products from the company were installed. The results and benefits of the installation are illustrated on the video and include an independently tested and accredited central heating system which:
• works like a natural heat exchanger by the way that it mixes the water for the central heating system in the box.
• blends heated water more efficiently before it travels to the radiators.
• increases the flow rate of the water in the radiator circuit so that it travels 70% faster through them.
• results in a temperature differential of only 1°C - 3°C between the top and bottom of the radiators.
• prevents air from entering the central heating system.
The combined benefit of the Central Heating Management System is that all household radiators are heated throughout with an even heat and therefore immediately become more efficient. The Little Magic Thermodynamic Box is about to be tested at BRE for the MCS approval which will make it the only Thermodynamic product to have MCS approval. The Little Magic Thermodynamic Box is also referred to as a Solar Assisted Heat Pump.
