New Research Revealed by Emotional Bliss asks the question: Should Women Be Taught the Pleasures of Masturbation?
(PRWEB UK) 19 August 2015 -- Should Women Be Taught the Pleasures of Masturbation?
Paul Telford, a father of three and the managing director of Emotional Bliss, certainly thinks so. In fact, he believes that showing all women how to achieve complete sexual well-being by satisfying their own bodies would also solve a lot of problems.
There's no question that masturbation is a taboo subject for a lot of people, especially when it's raised in the context of younger women.
Paul says, "It's a fact that nowadays, most young women are certainly more aware of sex than they were a generation ago. So why don't we in the UK take the next logical step, as they are in Europe, and educate women on how to achieve orgasm without submitting to the social pressures from the opposite sex?"
Research;
Paul Telford realises his stance is bound to raise a few eyebrows. His viewpoint however is vindicated by the recent release of European research backed by WHO (the World Health Organisation). From a public health perspective, the UK lags well behind the rest of Europe in terms of the number of live births and abortions to mothers under the age of 20, as well as the increase of STIs (sexually transmitted infections).(1)
Surveys indicate that young women are being pressured into sexual intercourse at a younger age, which is having a devastating effect on their lives. The question is why do we as a society refuse to educate our young women on the facts, so they can make informed decisions about their own sexual well-being?
According to leading sexologists, masturbation is both a healthy and perfectly natural process which generates many benefits. These include the release of serotonin from the brain, a natural relaxant chemical that helps to ease stress and anxiety, and promote emotional well-being.
Orgasms;
For men and women, the pathway to sexual well-being is very different. Male orgasm is achieved either by masturbation or sexual intercourse. For women, orgasm is a much more complex process.
A woman needs to stimulate the thousands of external nerve endings located within the area surrounding the clitoris and the vulva called the Orgasmic Platform. Orgasm can only be achieved once a woman passes through four distinct phases: 1. arousal, 2. increased excitement, 3. plateau, and finally 4. orgasm. This process normally involves at least 20 minutes of masturbation. (2)
With research showing that as many as 75% of all women are unable to orgasm during sexual penetration alone, then surely the time is right to discuss female masturbation as an innocent pleasure, rather than a taboo.(3)
