15 years after first product launch, SpotMe returns to St. Gallen Symposium
Lausanne, Switzerland (PRWEB UK) 9 May 2016 -- SpotMe, the pioneer in event technology and participant engagement, announced today it has partnered with the St. Gallen Symposium to support the 46th edition of the event this year.
Under the agreement, SpotMe will work with the organizing International Students’ Committee (ISC) to deliver the event app for their 800 participants. This will include the latest technology innovations such as contextual home screen for easy access to user-specific content, and single sign-on (SSO) authentication workflow for simpler participant experience. SpotMe will also provide consulting services on mobilizing content, and on crafting interactive features such as live polling and Q&A for key sessions. Behind the scenes, a live interface gateway will seamlessly integrate data from the Symposium portal and backend systems, while the International Students’ Committee will be leveraging the SpotMe Backstage Content Management System to build and pilot the app throughout the design and execution phases.
The St. Gallen Symposium creates debates that matter – between generations, disciplines and cultures – and is completely run by students. The 46th St. Gallen Symposium will be held under the topic “Growth – the good, the bad, and the ugly” from 11–13 May 2016 at the University of St. Gallen. 200 Leaders of Tomorrow engage in challenging discussions with 600 of the world’s most influential leaders and decision makers. In the past, Leaders of Tomorrow have debated with distinguished personalities such as Robert Dudley, BP plc, Professor Niall Ferguson, Harvard University, FU Ying, 12th National People's Congress (NPC) of the People's Republic of China, Christine Lagarde, International Monetary Fund (IMF), Jack Ma, Alibaba Group, Giorgos Papandreou, former Prime Minister of Greece, Stephen Sackur, BBC Television Centre, and Tharman Shanmugaratnam, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Finance of Singapore.
The partnership is a key milestone for SpotMe. Launched at the 31st St. Gallen Symposium in 2001 as a purpose-built wireless handheld device with unique radar and spotting features, SpotMe has pivoted twice and is now an app company with 100+ staff worldwide leading innovation in the event industry.
"We are pleased to partner with such a high calibre and respected organization that is enabling debate among present and future leaders on today’s most pressing issues", said Pierre Métrailler, CEO of SpotMe Europe. "This partnership also highlights our ambition to constantly reinvent ourselves, bringing relevant innovations to the market and creating outstanding value for our partners, customers and participants".
"In order to facilitate relevant discussions on the topic of the St. Gallen Symposium, reliable and innovative partners are key to maintain the highest standards of professionalism and excellence. SpotMe has again become one of these crucial partners to meet the demanding expectations of our participants and ensure a smooth transition of our debates into the digital context." – Statement by the International Students' Committee.
