Dr. Jens Ohlsson appointed new Head of EIT Digital’s Professional School

Dr. Jens Ohlsson is the new EIT Digital Head of the Professional School. In this role, he is responsible for the strategy, management, execution, and sustainability of the Professional School.

We are happy to have Jens joining EIT Digital as Head of our Professional School. His knowledge, skills, and experience position him very well for a successful execution of this important leadership position.

Dr. Jens Ohlsson is appointed EIT Digital’s Head of the Professional School. In this role, he is responsible for the strategy, management, execution, and sustainability of the Professional School.

The EIT Digital Professional School supports the digital transformation of companies, organisations and public bodies by providing high quality blended learning for executives and managers with operational management duties. The Professional School is part of the EIT Digital Academy. The Academy aims to equip people with digital and entrepreneurial skills in order to make Europe frontrunner in the digital transformation. In addition to the Professional School, EIT Digital also runs a Master School, a Doctoral School, and has advanced online learning programmes.

Dr. Ohlsson comes to EIT Digital with significant Entrepreneurial and Innovation experience. He was a business developer at one of the first companies in the world delivering an e-learning platform. In addition, he had several functions in large corporates, including Solution Advisor and Business Developer at SAP, Consultant at Aptus Consulting, Key Account Manager and Business Developer at IDS Sheer. Furthermore, he was one of the founders and CEO of the technology company Movelo. In recent years, he received his PHD, writing his thesis on ‘How companies can work with business innovation and business improvements supported by digital abilities while simultaneously working as a Digital Advisor on executive and board level.

Dr. Ohlsson says that he wants to contribute to EIT Digital’s ambition to make the Professional School “an important factor for making European companies and professionals able to stay at the forefront of digital innovation. I want to contribute to catalyse and create synergies between the EIT action lines and the Professional School in collaboration with the Doctoral and Master School.”
