Shepherds Friendly Society, one of the oldest UK mutual society, announced its 2016 claim statistics for their Income Protection plan.
The awarding winning mutual society recently announced their 2016 income protection claim statistics. The Society, who recently collected an award for the UK's best small insurer, revealed they paid 97% of income protection claims.

- Back pain
- Broken bones from accidents
Claims were declined due to a variety of reasons including:
- The person claiming making the decision not to go ahead with the claim;
- Non-disclosure of medical details at the time of application of the plan;
- Fraud and failing to comply with the terms and conditions.
