Industry Leading Specialists Headline HS-UK’s First Advanced Ophthalmic Ultrasound Course
Harlow, UK (PRWEB UK) 29 September 2017 -- The event, which is being held at Crewe Hall, Cheshire on Weds 18th October 2017, will provide attendees with an in-depth understanding of this highly-skilled ophthalmic imaging technique, and how to utilise this knowledge in daily practice.
The faculty, which consists of; Mr Tarek El-khashab, Mr Hatem Atta, Professor Hala M. El Cheweikh and Mr David Sculfor, will conduct a series of lectures, demonstrations and hands-on sessions with real patients.
Mr Tarek El-khashab, FRCS, DO, MBA, MSc, is an ophthalmologist and has been Lead for Ophthalmic Ultrasound Services at Mid-Cheshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust since 1998. Over the last 8 years, he has been a regularly invited guest speaker for the Royal College of Ophthalmologists. Tarek has been an organiser and speaker at the annual Ophthalmic Ultrasound Course for 12 years and is often invited to speak about the topic on the international stage.
Mr Hatem Atta has been a Consultant Ophthalmic Surgeon for more than 25 years. He has specialist experience in vitreoretinal surgery and eye ultrasound imaging. He is the author of 30 peer-reviewed scientific articles and three books and book chapters.
Professor Hala M. El Cheweikh is a Professor in Ophthalmology at Cairo University, specialising in Ophthalmic Ultrasound. She is a regular speaker and moderator at both national and international conferences, covering topics such as; ultrasound examination in intraocular tumours, UBM and ultrasonic examination of children.
Mr David Sculfor is a Consultant Optometrist with Buckinghamshire NHS Foundation Trust. In 1994, he moved to Stoke Mandeville Hospital to start a new Optometry Department, where his special interests include; biometry, electrodiagnostics and diabetic retinopathy screening. David also established the Bucks Diabetic Eye Screening Programme and has carried out numerous training courses, workshops and conference lectures for the British Association of Retinal Screening (BARS).
