The new DeWalt 4 amp range comprises of some old products that have been ‘4-amped’ from the previous 3 AH products, and also some new products like the new brushless impact driver and a very funky thermal imaging camera, ideal for all those plumbing and heating leaks. The star of the show had to be the wireless screened inspection camera for all the automotive junkies.
DeWalt are the first company to launch a product with a 4 amp hour lithium ion battery, what that basically means is 33% more running time of the power tool, yet at the same size and weight of the previous battery, all for pretty much the same price. The main thing is that all DeWalt 4ah batteries are backwards compatible and can be used in the older chargers although taking an extra 10 minutes to charge (70 instead of the original 60 minutes for the 3AH versions).
Toolbox have been selling the very popular DeWalt brand for years and are always interested in new products so had a chance to test all the new cordless as well as the new corded machines.
Lee Taylor, Power Tools Expert at Toolbox stated: “It is always an exciting event when manufacturers launch new products, you can immediately tell if they are going to be a success or just a pointless addition to an already saturated range. These DeWalt products are truly amazing, so much innovation to give customers and tradesmen the product they want, longer run time, excellent built quality they can use for years and more importantly only a few quid more”
DeWalt are discontinuing all the older 3amp hour versions in favour of this new battery technology, they always have a useful battery check indicator on them so you will never run out of power on the job.
Toolbox is venturing into the Tools review market and have recently reviewed and produced open box videos for a lot of the new DeWalt range already.
Scott Morris, E-Commerce Manager of Toolbox added: “We think videos are a great way to increase conversions, customers will buy power tools online, this is clearly evident, however an open box video is a great way to explain to the customer what they are actually getting in words and pictures. The videos are far easier to digest than a details tech spec, but we provide this as well on our website.”
