Over the past few months, big names in the power tool and DIY industry have been given the chance to review the latest ROK branded tools from Toolbox. Since the ROK brand made its debut on the site early in September 2012, the tool industry and DIY enthusiasts have been very keen to see what all the hype is.
Lee Taylor, resident power tool expert & enthusiast gives a brief description on the ROK power tool range: “These have been designed with the user in mind, focusing centrally on providing the user with the best possible experience whilst not leaving your wallet empty. The price point has dropped lower and lower whilst the build quality and feel of the tool has maintained a high quality – not many other tools can compete with this pricing kind of pricing!”
The latest ROK tool to get scrutinised was the 350W ROK jigsaw. After getting their hands on the tool in question, the experts had a good week to see what it was capable of and pick it apart in order to provide Toolbox with constructive feedback. Below is an excerpt from the full review...
“This RPJ350 from ROK is perfect for the ocasional user. With its 350W motor it’s powerful enough to cope with a wide range of cutting tasks with ease, while the price certainly won’t break the bank.”
So, what do you get for your £15? For a start, a nice compact, comfortable and smooth tool. The RPJ350 is light – just 1.6kg – with a black soft-feel area on the top of the handle which makes it easy to get a good grip. The trigger is chunky and well-placed, as is the large lock-on button – both are easily operated and have a positive action.”

Scott Morris, E-Commerce Manager at Toolbox.co.uk commented on the price drop: “Since the review will gain the ROK jigsaw a lot of exposure, it makes sense to drop the price in order to encourage more people to buy it and give it a shot. When they realise the quality is in fact fantastic for the price paid, they’ll hopefully venture into buying more ROK tools which will benefit the brand even further.”
The Toolbox site is currently operated from the new, rebranded and ever-expanding Online Home Retail Network which at present hosts around 50 separate websites. These sites sell a range of items varying from designer radiators and heating components all the way to pillar drills which can be purchased from: http://www.pillardrills.co.uk. Online Home Retail Limited first started out as Plumbworld Ltd back in 1999 and since then it has been bought by the Grafton Group PLC in 2006 and received a major rebrand in 2012. The business now employs 60 people in its purpose built warehouse/offices and has a total turnover nearing £25 million per year.
