London (PRWEB UK) 27 March 2014 -- Analysis of Big Six standard variable prices shows that consumers are better off moving to long term fixed deals from First Utility, the UK’s fastest growing energy company. Consumers switching to fixed deals from First Utility which freeze prices to either 2015, 2016 or 2017, can save almost £200 per year.
It is estimated that the 50% of consumers who have never switched energy provider are currently on standard deals from one of the Big Six suppliers. A comparison of these standard variable rates shows significant savings are available by switching to First Utility’s fixed-price alternatives.
First Utility tops the best buy table with its iSave Fixed May 2015 tariff, but consumers can also make savings by switching to longer fixed deals and still freeze their prices until the Spring of 2017. For those that don’t want to fix, First Utility also has a Price Promise which guarantees its variable tariff will always be cheaper than the Big Six standard tariffs.
Ed Kamm, CMO of First Utility, said:
“We are always looking for ways to help our customers spend less on energy. That’s why we have the cheapest deal on the market, but also offer price certainty as far out as 2017 for those who want long term peace of mind.
“Frozen prices are an attractive proposition, but I’d encourage consumers to look at what the best value long term fixed deals are on the market as a whole. Our range of fixed tariffs will save money for consumers, but especially those who have never switched and are likely paying over the odds on un-competitive deals with the incumbent providers. Giving our customers peace of mind and putting more money in their pockets is something we feel very strongly about.”
