Latest figures from Google Trends backs up a surge in enquiries from UK brides for wedding photo booths as witnessed by leading photo booth hire company, Photobooth.co.uk.
July through to September 2012 saw largest spike in the number of wedding photo booth related searches since the data was first tracked back in 2009.
Photobooth.co.uk Marketing Manager, Rob Mobberley advised; “We have certainly seen a dramatic increase in enquiries for wedding booths in recent months which would back up the trends shown by Google. Feedback from our customers indicates that they like the idea of having a collection of informal photographs of their guests in addition to the more formal wedding photographs taken on the day.”
Most wedding couples also opt for an additional set of prints which are placed in a guest book during the day for their guests to leave a message next to. This allows them to have a keepsake of their guests’ enjoyment of the day, as well as the guests being able to take away a copy of their individual photos as a personal memento.
Georgina Compton from Cobham, Surrey commented on the photo booth hire at her recent wedding; “The photo booth we hired added something extra special and made our wedding day truly amazing. It really is a great idea. Everyone should have one.”
Other data from Google also shows that it is not just the wedding photo booth that is seeing a surge interest. The figures also show that searches for “wedding ideas” in the UK are at its highest point since February 2008.
Rob Added; “From what we are seeing and hearing there is clear evidence that with the continual squeeze on finances couples are increasingly seeking new and affordable ideas to make their big day a success. Where the photo booth scores is that not only is it great fun on the day, it also provides real lasting memories for both the married couple and their guests”.
