Conservatory Outlet Make £20k+ IT Investment
(PRWEB UK) 11 August 2013 -- West Yorkshire home improvement firm Conservatory Outlet remain keen exponents of modern technology after announcing a £20k+ investment into their current IT infrastructure in the form of a brand new state-of-the-art HP Server.
The move will ensure that their IT set-up remains completely up to speed with the machinery (e.g. Elumatec machinery) and equipment (e.g. barcode tracking) utilised within their Wakefield fabrication facility.
The introduction of new products, procurement of new machinery, welcoming of new dealers and recruitment of new staff necessitated the need for further processing power and storage.
This substantial outlay coincides with the appointment of Phil Wilson to the role of IT Manager in January, who has created the specification for the server and is currently overseeing its build.
Phil was previously responsible for spearheading the continual development of CO2; Conservatory Outlet’s bespoke business management software, and the URBAN SV800 production line.
The scale of the investment is such that a brand new server room has had to be created, meaning further expansion at the company’s headquarters where plans are afoot to double the size of the existing office area again in January 2014.
