HS-UK anticipate an exciting BCLA 2015 Conference
Harlow, Essex (PRWEB UK) 22 May 2015 -- Haag-Streit UK (HS-UK), the leading manufacturer and distributor of gold-standard optometry and ophthalmic equipment, will be exhibiting at this year’s BCLA Clinical Conference and Exhibition at the ACC, Liverpool on the 29th – 31st May 2015.
Key products from the HS-UK portfolio will be showcased at the event, including the Eidon wide-field confocal scanner and the AngioVue OCT Angiography (OCT-A) system.
The AngioVue is the first commercial OCT-A system capable of imaging and displaying the function of the ocular microvasculature, through a non-invasive procedure. Unlike traditional fluorescein angiography, the procedure can be performed in every day clinical practice and repeated as often as required, with no risk to the patient.
The AngioVue will also be showcased in an educational workshop running alongside the exhibition on Sunday 31st May. The ‘Hands-on fitting with corneal GP piggy-back systems and hybrid lenses’ workshop will be presented by Jeffrey Sonsino, O.D., F.A.A.O. and Halina Manczak M.D., Ph.D and will give delegates a valuable opportunity to gain CET points.
The Eidon is the first wide-field, true colour confocal scanner with infrared and red-free imaging, as standard. Boasting a 60° field in a single exposure and a wide-field of up to 110°, it provides unsurpassed image quality, a unique, live confocal view of the retina, three different imaging modalities and dilation-free operation.
Other products being exhibited on the HS-UK stand include the iScan and iFusion OCT systems and the DRS non-mydriatic retinal imaging camera.
Sharon Mills, HS-UK Managing Manager, said, “We have some fantastic new market-leading products to showcase at the BCLA exhibition this year. We are especially excited to exhibit the new AngioVue OCT-A system which delivers a revolutionary method of angiography.”
Please visit HS-UK on stands 6 and 7, where the team will be happy to provide further information on the products and will be on-hand to offer individual demonstrations.
