TurningPoint for Events - Turning Technologies at the Irish Association of Pension Funds Event
Belfast, United Kingdom (PRWEB UK) 13 April 2016 -- The Irish Association of Pension Funds (IAPF) was established in 1973 and represents Irish pension savers. Their members are responsible for some €107.8 billion in retirement savings in Ireland. The company seeks to educate, represent and inform, with a view to achieving secure, fair and simple retirement provision.
The IAPF have several events throughout the year, endeavouring to discuss various aspects of pension saving. It was at their Annual Investment Conference at Dublin Castle in April that the company decided to utilise Audience Response, through 300 QT devices. Turning Technologies facilitated this event, which aimed to inform and advise the delegates about the Irish economy and how it relates to pensions. The QT device was of interest due to the commenting feature, which was used by the delegates to send their feedback to the speaker, according to the issues raised in the presentation.
The company wanted to ensure that the delegates were all fully engaged with the speakers throughout the event, and know that their opinions were valued. After each presentation, a discussion took place according to what feedback the audience had given, and at the end of the day, a satirical vote took place with 6 delegates giving a pitch to be voted into the position of Irish Pensions Minister for the day, according to their suggestions regarding the Irish pension fund.
The technology worked seamlessly onsite, and all participants were able to use the device with ease. The devices created discussions that would not have happened without the technology, and helped keep all delegates engaged and interacting with the speakers. Through using the handsets, the conference organisers allowed the audience to voice their opinions and spark lively debates.
